The Hof Prädikow project is being developed as a cooperative residential and commercial project on the old manor in Prädikow. The currently 37 adults and 20 children in the farm group want to live on the farm (soon to be reinforced by additional members), work digitally, technically and artistically, organize leisure time together, grow vegetables, keep animals, share rooms, tools and tasks, find new tasks , enjoy retirement, or watch their children grow up.

When designing the architecture, value was placed on the fact that all rooms with their separate entrances can be used in parallel with almost no restrictions. The option rooms can also be used as a village living room, for a meeting of the creative club or other offers during a seminar rental. An open place for everyone
The village barn is to become an open place for lively village life. A place to chat and do, to spin ideas and try them out, to get to know and discuss, to play and be creative, to celebrate and learn from each other - and to work together.
It should be a village barn for everyone: for the young, the old and the young at heart, for long-time residents and newcomers, for the village, the community and guests. It is to be created in the “small barn” at the entrance of the old manor - in the middle of Prädikow and easily accessible for everyone.

We interviewed Rolf Novy-Huy, the Director of Stiftung Trias. He gave us a peek into how heritage projects go from ideas to action and what networks and connections are needed for a project to get off the ground.
Stiftung Trias played a major role in the Prädikow project by buying the estate after three years of negotiations with the original owner to sell it for a reasonable price. However, the story of how this estate developed is a bit more complicated. Often we see some basic details, but when it comes to reclaiming heritage, processes often require more finesse and strategy.
